Gloria hails from Mexico. She studied Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano driven by her passion for discovering novel materials for medical devices. In April 2022, she earned a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a thesis focused on Pectin-based bio-inks for neural tissue engineering. This research involved the creation of 3D-printed scaffolds using immortalized neural cell lines, and examining their rheological and biological properties.

Gloria is passionate about nature, playing percussion instruments, drawing, and conducting research.

Detailed topics:

The focus of Gloria's PhD project, in partnership with the Italian company Chemisol, is to create bio-based additives for sustainable coatings with high-performance resins. The goal is to create and analyze eco-friendly biobased additives for the organic coating industry.
